Nutriya Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Nutriya, operated by BeWitty, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Nutriya mobile application, website, and related services. Nutriya is a nutrition and meal-planning app. It is not a medical device and does not replace advice from a physician, dietitian, or other qualified health professional.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated when you use the app, and limited information from services you choose to connect.

• Account information: name, email address, user ID, profile photo URL when provided by a sign-in provider, selected app language, authentication provider, and account status.
• Profile and nutrition information: age or date of birth, gender, height, weight, body fat percentage, target weight, goal, activity level, preferred cuisines, foods to include or exclude, onboarding answers, and related settings.
• Meal-plan information: generated meal plans, meal options, ingredients, shopping lists, completion state, meal edits, regeneration requests, and user-provided meal descriptions or ingredient prompts.
• Tracking information: manually entered progress metrics and, if you choose to grant permission, health or fitness values imported from Apple HealthKit for supported metrics.
• Subscription information: purchase status, product identifiers, entitlement status, transaction identifiers, subscription expiration, renewal state, and verification metadata received through Apple StoreKit and our backend.
• Contact and support information: your name, email address, message, and related metadata when you contact us through the app, website, or email.
• Device, location, and technical information: an installation identifier; device model and capabilities; operating system, app version, display, language, region, and time zone; country-level location derived from your device locale or, with permission, your device location; diagnostic or performance data; server logs; request metadata; and security or abuse-prevention data.
• Usage and analytics information: app opens, account registration, onboarding completion, meal-plan generation, paywall and trial activity, purchases, completed weeks, feature interactions, and similar events used to understand and improve Nutriya.
• Notification information: push-notification tokens, permission status, delivery status, and whether a Nutriya notification was received or opened.
• Website preferences: the language preference stored in your browser so the website can reopen in your chosen language.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to provide and improve Nutriya, including to:

• create and maintain your account;
• generate, display, update, and personalize meal plans and ingredient lists;
• save your preferences, profile, tracking metrics, and app language;
• verify subscriptions and manage access to premium features;
• respond to contact messages and support requests;
• recommend relevant cuisines using your country and provide notifications you choose to enable;
• measure product performance and understand how Nutriya is discovered and used;
• maintain app security, prevent abuse, debug issues, and monitor service reliability;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.

3. AI Meal Generation

Nutriya may use third-party AI services to generate meal plans, repair meal data, validate user-provided food input, and improve meal variety. To do this, we may send relevant nutrition profile details, preferences, goals, included or excluded foods, cuisine choices, and meal prompts to those services. We avoid sending information that is not needed for the meal-generation request.

4. Apple HealthKit

If you choose to connect Apple HealthKit, Nutriya requests permission only for supported metrics used in the tracking experience. HealthKit data is imported only after you grant permission. You can manage or revoke Health permissions in the iOS Settings app. Nutriya does not use HealthKit data for advertising or sell HealthKit data.

5. Authentication Providers

You may sign in with Apple, Google, or Facebook. Those providers may share account information such as your name, email address, provider identifier, or profile photo depending on your choices and their policies. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Purchases are handled through Apple StoreKit. Nutriya does not receive your full payment card number. We receive purchase and entitlement information needed to verify your subscription, prevent fraud, and unlock paid features. If you request an App Store refund and separately consent to sharing purchase-consumption information, an authorized Nutriya administrator may send Apple your transaction identifier, delivery status, whether a trial or product explanation was provided, and Nutriya’s refund preference. Detailed meal history, email, and AI-usage records remain internal and are not included in that response.

7. Analytics, Notifications, and Service Providers

We use Firebase and Google Cloud services for authentication, database storage, server functions, remote configuration, analytics, logs, messaging, and hosting. Limited acquisition and product events may also be processed by Meta when its services are enabled in the app. We may use Apple, Google, Facebook, email-delivery infrastructure, and AI service providers as needed to provide Nutriya’s features. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own terms when you use their services directly.

If you allow push notifications, we use notification tokens and settings to send relevant messages. We record delivery, receipt, and opening events to monitor reliability and engagement. You can change notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.

8. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

• with service providers that help us run the app;
• when needed to process authentication, subscription verification, support messages, or AI meal-generation requests;
• to comply with law, legal process, or enforceable government requests;
• to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Nutriya, or others;
• as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

9. Data Retention

We retain account, profile, meal-plan, subscription, support, tracking, installation, analytics, and notification information for as long as reasonably needed to provide Nutriya, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose. Some logs and backups may remain for a limited period after deletion from active systems.

10. Your Choices and Rights

You can update many profile and preference values inside the app. You can revoke HealthKit, location, or notification access in iOS Settings. You can request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, subject to identity verification and applicable legal limits. You can delete your account in the app or follow our account-deletion instructions. Some information may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, payment records, legal compliance, or backup integrity.

11. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including Firebase authentication, access controls, encrypted network transport, and server-side validation. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

Nutriya is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

13. International Use

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than where you live, including countries that may have different data protection laws. By using Nutriya, you understand that information may be transferred and processed as described in this Policy.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice in the app or by other reasonable means.
